19th Century Neoclassical Austria Vienna Porcelain Vases with Dish, 1880s

About the Item

Porcelain pourer with dish of Austrian origin, city of Vienna, stamped both on the plate and on the vase, with the stamp of the Royal Vienna. Late nineteenth century. Painted in green and soft red colors, embellished with pure gold workings. The paintings depict romantic scenes and Classic characters. You can immediately notice the sinuous shape of the pouring jar and the proportions well balanced with the dish.

    France vase, signed under the rectangular base J.P. Jacob Petit: Paris,Belleville( France). Jacob Petit produced porcelain here from circa 1790. The products have been highly praised and show an individual style. But porcelain was also made in the style of Meissen; these pieces were marked with Elector's swords. Patents dealing with improvements to the formula of the porcelain paste and surface techniques were given notice of in England in 1853. In 1834 the factory incorporated the Fontainebleau porcelain factory. This vase was made (as can be seen from the signature) before its incorporation with Fontainebleau in 1834.
