Cannakale Turkish Stylish Unusual Pottery Cadogan Jug

About the Item

A rare and unusual Turkish Cannakale glazed pottery cadogan jug dating from the 19th century. This unusual jug has a small domed foot with teardrop shaped rounded body with a pointed top and with a small handle to one side and pouring spout to the opposite side. The jug is glazed in black speckled brown glazes with lighter brown glazes run down the body from the raised point. The jug has a filler hole under the base and is not marked. In good condition.
