Early 19th Century Hand Painted Yellow Tole Tray
About the Item
1810s French country yellow tole tray with a toile motif depicting scenes of the French countryside. Tole is a type of tinplate domestic ware that has been enabled, lacquered, or painted. Sunny and inviting, this lovely piece features soft black finely rendered depictions of pastoral intrigue, surrounded by a decorative wreath-like border. A wonderful way to accent any space with color and warmth.
