Edwardian English Sterling Silver Toasting Fork or Meat Serving Fork London 1909

Hallmarked in London in 1909 by Jackson & Fullerton, this attractive, Edwardian, Antique Sterling Silver Toasting Fork, features wonderfully engraved decoration throughout including the name 'E. E. Sharp' engraved to the front, and the date 'May 14 - 1909' on the reverse. The toasting fork measures 12.25"(31cm) long, by 2.5"(6cm) wide across the prongs, and weighs 4 troy ounces.

    An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver creamer in the Rococo style; an addition to our Edwardian silverware collection. This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver cream jug has a plain pear shaped form. The body of this silver cream jug is embellished with flat chased simplified leaf designs incorporating scrolling borders and scale motif panels, in the Rococo style. The decoration to the body incorporates an applied moulded border to the upper shaped rim and an impressive scrolling leaf design to the underside of the spout. The formation of this Edwardian piece reflects an early Georgian design and style often associated with the renowned silversmith Paul de Lamerie. This impressive example of Edwardian teaware is fitted with a cast and applied shaped scrolling handle with a predatory bird's head to the upper terminal and further leaf designs to the lower socket. The jug is supported by three impressive cast and applied ribbed feet with scrolling sockets in junction with the body. The underside of this sterling silver cream jug bears the retailer's mark 'Carrington & Co., London, 130 Regent St', in addition to the registration number '6940'.
