Shaw & Fisher Antique bottle holder in Patinated Silver. England, 19th century. Wonderful bottle holder in patinated silver made by Shaw & Fisher from Sheffield. Great Victorian design and a great appearance due to the general shape and wonderful details. Viewed up close you will find a beautiful floral decoration. This piece gained a very beautiful and interesting patination over time. We could see it go easily with many other colors and styles, due to the great elegance of it. You could use it just as a display piece, or as a bottle holder. It can fit up to three (wine) bottles. Shaw & Fisher was a English company from Sheffield which existed from 1835 until 1894. They started electroplating around 1849. They had a wonderful catalogue with well designed pieces of silver plated items. Great vintage condition with a desirable patination.
