Art Nouveau Silver Centerpiece, Jardinière With Glass Insert, Vienna Circa 1900
About the Item
Simple, elegant silver centerpiece in elongated form with vertical walls on four flared feet, the straight long sides slightly protruding and the semi-circular sides overhanging, circumferential openwork band with intersecting circular
segments, circumferential beadwork on the upper and lower rim, fluting in the lower area on the inside as a support for the glass container, gilding on the inside.
Matching glass insert with curved rim and cut triangles on the sides and base star.

Diana's head - Vennese official hallmark 1872-1922 for 800 Silver
Framed 'A' for Vienna
Four-sided mark - rubbed, not attributed
