Victorian English Sterling Silver Hourglass Pattern Soup Ladle
About the Item
An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver Hourglass pattern soup ladle; an addition to our silver cutlery collection.
This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver soup ladle has a King's shaped, Hourglass pattern handle.
The anterior and posterior surfaces of the handle is embellished with the Classic King's shape ornamentation, including the shell design to the terminal, in addition to the central hourglass design; this hourglass device is the distinguishing feature of the pattern.
This fine example of Victorian flatware has a plain rounded bowl with an impressive diamond heel to the reverse surface.
Condition
This antique Victorian sterling silver soup ladle is an exceptional gauge of silver, excellent quality and in exceptional condition. The ladle has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The Hourglass pattern decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse are all very clear.
