Victorian period, sterling silver (unmarked, but tested) statue of a cow and her calf, India, Ca. 1900. Measures 4 1/2 inches wide (at widest point) x 4 1/2 inches high (at highest point) x 2 1/8 inches deep (at deepest point). Weighs 7.445 troy ounces. Excellent detail. Dark spots on silver in photos are reflections. In very good antique condition.

    An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver cow creamer; an addition to our 19th Century silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver creamer has been realistically modelled in the form of a cow. The plain body of this antique silver creamer is embellished with details reproducing the fine definition of the cow's facial and anatomical features. The jug is fitted with a hinged cover, surmounted with an impressive cast and applied finial realistically modelled in the form of a fly. This impressive Victorian silver cow creamer is fitted with a loop handle, modelled in the form of the cow's tail.
