Copeland Sixteen Piece Dessert Set Painted with Different Flowers
About the Item
We are offering this English Copeland Spode sixteen piece dessert service from 1879. It is amazing that all 12 dessert plates and two tall compotes and two lower compotes have all stayed together over the years. The artistry of the hand painted flowers is quite professionally painted as you can see. You can even see the veins in the leaves of the flowers. The artist was really enjoying painting this set that he even painted the bottoms of the tall compotes with more flowers. What a cheerful table setting this set can be with its green ground and its bright colorful flowers. It would be a stunning addition to your afternoon tea or coffee or can be used for dessert or an appetizer dish during a dinner party. Price-$4500.00 / set.
