Very Fine Late 19th Century Inlaid Cellarette by Freemans of Norwich

About the Item

A very fine late 19th century beautifully figured mahogany sarcophogas shaped cellarette or wine cooler by Freeman's of Norwich. The hinged lid with gorgeous line inlay and a gadrooned finial handle, opening to reveal a fitted bottle holder section. The tapering body with a quarter veneered front with inlaid oval centre and brass escutcheon supported on moulded plinth base with turned feet and brass casters. Makers name stencilled below 'Freemans Manufactury’, St Andrews, Norwich.
