Set of Five Small American Folk Art Fish Decoys

About the Item

Group of five Folk Art fish decoys composed of painted tinned iron sheet metal or aluminum fins and tails and carved wooden weighted lead bodies, some with applied eyes; others with painted (ca. 1940s-1950, USA). Though all parts are intact (fins, tails), there is natural patina present from age and use along with paint losses / general wear. A nice collection of an artifact that is often considered one the first forms of Folk Art.
