Signed lower left 'Clevan Thomas Jr., 44'
This work done on a found board with painted floral back. The complex composition depicts a cubist portrait of the draped bare chested Egyptian Queen, with a hawk perched on her right shoulder.
Thomas's technique displays influences of important 20th century modern artists like Kisling and Modigliani.
Complete with the original frame handmade, painted and gilt with Egyptian motifs, by the artist.
