Folk Art Alphabet Board of Trained Branches

Extraordinary American folk art board composed of the alphabet made from branches trained into the letter forms. Found in Southern Kentucky dates to 1940's. An accompanying vintage snapshot shows the artist with another of his works and wearing an "x" pinned to his cardigan. The letters are wired to a white painted board with attached legs.
