1930s French Art Deco 6-Arm Chandelier by Petitot and Ezan Copper and Glass
About the Item
This beautifully organic 1930s French Art Deco chandelier was designed by Atelier Petitot. The frame of the chandelier has three trumpet cascading tiers, which have an aged copper effect, off which extend six arms with frosted flower glass shades. Above, are two trumpet shades with ball decoration, each with three glass sprays, and light bulbs that illuminate the sprays when lit. The light culminates with a ringed trumpet, which has a fixing for hanging the chandelier to the ceiling. The combination of the copper and glass is unusual and it’s an extremely attractive piece both lit and unlit!
For its age it’s in very good condition with no chips to the glass and there is obvious patination to the copper finish, which only adds to its look. Professionally rewired.
