Art Deco Rose Alabaster Stylized Acanthus Pendant Chandelier w/ Brass Fittings
About the Item
This exquisite and materially stunning Art Deco Rose Alabaster Pendant Chandelier with Stylized Acanthus Detailing and Brass Fittings originates from France, Circa 1930. Features a round form with incredibly precise stylized acanthus detailing carved on the outer edge of the Chandelier with a floral accent at the base. Composed in an incredibly alluring hue of rose alabaster, diffusing the light of the fixture and pairing with the polished brass and canopy and chain from which the piece hangs. The carved detailing creates a lovely rhythm around the outer edge with incredible regularity and attention to proportions and depth of the grooves. The canopy also has a floral nature, with a more rounded and curvilinear sensibility than the fixture itself. An incredible piece that beautifully exemplifies the techniques and materials of the Art Deco era, this piece will style excellently in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modernist and Contemporary Interiors. Newly rewired to American Standards and height can be adjusted to suit. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
