Italian 19th Century Baroque Giltwood Chandelier
About the Item
A high quality and extremely decorative early 19th century Italian Baroque giltwood chandelier. The chandelier with three different levels of lights has ten electrified arms. The bottom finial with carved foliate designs is below a large ball with Fleur de Lis style central reserves amidst scrolls and a hammered background. The three large bottom arms with open winged maidens are seated on large scrolled acanthus leaves which lead to an extended arm. The extended arm ends in an electrified torch. Above is a reeded fut ball with reeded 'C' scrolled electrified arms all below the acanthus leaf decorated top with a beaded band.
