Early 20th century alabaster pendant.
This wonderful and great value for money alabaster pendant has a translucent quality that you hardly ever see. Even though it has a number of clear and visible hairline cracks running through and even all around the hand-carved rosette at the bottom, this shade is as strong and durable as they come and in our view it looks marvelous. It will certainly not break and to us the natural hairlines in this stunning mineral stone is part of its age, character and beauty. The wonderful and hand-carved neoclassical shape combined with the beautiful chain and canopy makes it a real joy to own and look at. The chain also makes sure that we (or you) can change the drop to one that is perfect for you.
