Rare Midcentury Crystal Glass Brass Flower Chandelier Josef Frank Style, 1950s
About the Item
Gorgeous Josef Frank attribution midcentury chandelier most probably made by Svenskt Tenn, Austria or Sweden, early 1950s. The rare patinated brass chandelier has 5 scrolled arms with faceted crystal glass bobeches, a beautiful center with a patinated brass wire-decoration ( same wire decoration used by Josef Frank for mirrors manufactured by Svenskt Tenn ) on a off-white to ivory color enameled ground, a lovely sheaf of faceted crystal glass flowers in the center and 5 matching later added white to off-white fabric lampshades with golden rings. The chain-hanging height adjustable midcentury chandelier is new rewired so fine working and ready to use. I takes five E14 European standard screw bulbs to illuminate. When lit it exudes a warm light atmosphere. It is 60 cm / 23.62 inches tall and has a width of 50 cm / 19.69 inches. This amazing beauty which stays in very good vintage condition with minor characteristic wear consistent with age and use, is an eye-catcher and a perfect addition and upgrade for any Mid-Century Modern or stylish interior. When illuminated or unlit, it fills any room with noble elegance.
