Rare Pair Midcentury Sconces Tynell Style 1950s Yellow Candle Tube Glass Brass
About the Item
Cool and rare Austrian or Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern sconces in Paavo Tynell Taito Oy Style, circa 1950s. The wall lights which are made of patinated brass with faint yellow opaline candle glass tubes and threat-switches are 24 cm / 9.45 inches tall, 11 cm / 4.33 inches deep with a base width of 11 cm / 4.33 inches. Each wall lamp has one bakelite fitting and takes one E14 standard candle screw bulb up to 40 wattage to illuminate, we recommend LED bulbs which produce no heat. The lights are new rewired so fine working and ready to use. One lamp base has two additional former drilled holes for wiring from outside, see picture. The lights stay in very good original vintage condition with minor characteristic wear consistent with age and use. These rare beauties are eye-catcher and an upgrade for any Midcentury Modern interior design.
