3 Rare Sconces Poillerat Adnet Style Black Forged Iron Brass Gold France 1950s
About the Item
Amazing and rare set of three french Gilbert Poillerat or Jacques Adnet Style wall lights, France around 1940s to 1950s. Two large 3-arm sconces measure each 46 cm / 18.11 inches wide, 42 cm / 16.54 inches tall and 23 cm / 9.06 inches deep, one 2-arm sconce measures 35 cm / 13.78 inches wide, 35 cm / 13.78 inches tall and 17 cm / 6.69 inches deep. The neo-classical sconces are made of forged wrought iron in combination with patinated brass, they are new rewired, so all are fine working and ready to use. They take french bajonet standard bulbs to illuminate and come with new outside black and inside golden lampshades to exude a pleasant atmosphere when lit. The stunning and high quality lamps which stay in very good condition with minor characteristic wear consistent with age and use, are an upgrade and a perfect addition to design interiors with furniture from the Art Deco period as well as for Mid-century interiors.
