Great design, hand carved antique alabaster flush mount / pendant light.
This stunning alabaster light fixture is another one of our recent great finds. Back in the early 1900s European artisans were at their peak when it came to hand-carving alabaster pendants and this particular one is among the best we ever saw. Thanks to its uniquely layered yet calm Modernist design this timeless alabaster chandelier will obviously look great in an Art Deco interior, but it would also be awesome in the right contemporary home. It is in very good condition from top to bottom and the beautifully spread, thunderstroke-like black veins contrast even more when the light is switched on. Also, because the dark veins then turn pitch black against an even whiter background and that contrast truly is amazing to look at. As you can see in our images, there also are a number of white, near translucent veins and patches that make this creation-of-mother-nature-pendant even more fascinating. Have you also noticed the stylish and mint condition, blackened brass canopy? It is adjustable in height and thanks to the hook inside, safely mounting this chandelier tight to your ceiling (and over your junction box) can be done in just a few minutes.
