Venini Five Arm Chandelier, circa 1940
About the Item
A beautiful and rare example of a 1940s Italian glass chandelier by the famous glass house of Venini. Made of hand blown glass with brass. Arms of the chandelier etched with repetitive notch design. Great attention to detail as shown in the pointed scallop design on each socket cover, as well as the spiral brass accent encasing the ivory enamel support rod. Original cast brass scallop design ceiling canopy. Brass polished and lacquered. Rewired. Measurements: 25" in diameter and 42" high from canopy to bottom. Body of chandelier is 12.5 inches tall from top of brass arm holders to bottom curve of arms. Located at the 25th Street Showplace, 40 West 25th St., NYC.
