Pair of Antique Art Nouveau Loetz Styled Art Glass Lamp Shades
About the Item
These art glass lamp or light shades are unsigned, but presumed to have originated from Austria and date to approximately 1900 and done in the period Art Nouveau style. The shades are done with a dark gold clear crackle glass with dark green leaves and vines around the upper rim and a deep red feather pulled decoration around the bottom. The shades are accented wtih a strong irridescence which gives a pink shimmer under some light conditions. We believe that these shades were done by a contemporary of Loetz employing similar techniques and style. Please note the width of the collars across the top is two and three eighths inches.
