Signed Art Nouveau Patinated Spelter Lighted Sculpture of Loie Fuller or Lamp

About the Item

This large and substantial well executed lighted sculpture is signed by an unknown artist, and copyrighted by Napoleon Alliot of France and dates to approximately 1905 and done in the period Art Nouveau style. The large sculpture is composed of spelter which is patinated in a bronze tone and depicts the world famous dancer Loie Fuller. The study depicts Loie on a wooden planked stage in a flowing dress. The ornate casting shows various details from all sides of the head, face, folds in the dress and shoes. The front of the sculpture has four light bulb sockets which are controlled by a switch on the back and mimic period stage lighting and function to accent the sculpture, or provide accent lighting to a room. The sculpture is clearly signed by the artist with a small tag for Napoleon Alliot and dating it to 1905. The electrical wiring has been professionally restored.
