Italian Mid-Century Modern Articulating Floor Lamp, Vittoriano Vigano & Arteluce
About the Item
Rare Italian Midcentury Articulating Floor Lamp in Red Enameled Metal, Synthetic Red Rubber and Brass attributed to Vittoriano Vigano for the design firm of Arteluce. This is a functional and dramatic work of Italian engineering with original design and powerful aesthetics. This elegant lamp rests on a round solid brass base and supports a brass stem covered in fluted, red synthetic rubber specially designed for this piece. The red stem is held to the stem via brass bands sequentially placed along the stem. The red stem brilliantly mirrors the double red reflector that shoots lights in 2 opposing directions and also rotates on an axis 360 degrees. Overall, this is a sensuous and seductive work of design that functions to provide focused and ambient lighting. Dimensions: 12" diameter of brass base, height 66" x 27" overall diameter.
