Silvio Bilangione Helga floor lamp Fumagalli Italy 1967

About the Item

Spherical 'Helga' floor lamp designed by Silvio Bilangione and manufactured by Fumagalli, Italy 1967. The lamp is in a pleasing and original condition, showing the timeless design that has survived over the years. Constructed with a shade from bent pieces of steam-formed plywood, which let through the light in a beautiful way, the lamp has maintained its excellent and fully original condition. The unique shape of the lamp is reminding of a modern Roman pillar, having a classical elegance. The stem is made of solid wood painted in an off-white hue where at first glance you would think the lamp is made of metal. The wooden construction provides weight and stabillity too. Literature; La Rivista dell'Arredamento Interni 11 November 1967. This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the USA. For US usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it.
