Pair of French Mid-19th Century Louis XIV St. Ormolu Three-Arm Sconces
About the Item
A handsome and most impressive pair of French mid 19th century Louis XIV st. ormolu three arm sconces. The sconces have a fanciful and very decorative backplate with scrolled acanthus leaves and a central masculine mask. Above the mask are the three 'S' scrolled arms designed with bottom chased acanthus leaves leading to large circular saucers with a reeded design all below the inner candle cups with the same reeded design. All original gilding throughout.
