About the Item
Pair of Swedish Modern adjustable brass wall lights with red lacquered shades and white reflective inside. Very decorative bedside lamps made by Upsala Armaturfabrik AB in the 1950s. In very good vintage condition with minimal wear to the lacquer.
Upsala Armaturfabrik was operating from 1915–1970 and collaborated with several external architects and designers including Björn Hultén, Sven Markelius, Kurt Nordström and Rolf Bergh. Notable interior projects where UA provided the lighting were movie theatres Spegeln and Astoria in Stockholm, the Stockholm Theatre at Norra Bantorget and several Swedish churches.
