Unique French Art Deco Alabaster Sconces 1920s Gilt Bronze Ruhlmann Cheuret Era
About the Item
Rare pair French gilt bronze and unique carved creamy white beige or ivory color alabaster half bowl sconces with beautiful charcoal mineral veining in black and silver grey from the Art Deco period, France, circa 1920 to 1930. The amazing and high quality wall appliques have each a french bajonet fitting for one standard bulb to illuminate. They are new rewired so fine working and ready to use. They are 23 cm / 9.06 inches tall, 30 cm / 11.81 inches wide and 15 cm / 5.91 inches deep. Unidentified stamped on reverse in the bronze these stunning beauties and statement pieces stay in very good to excellent original vintage condition with no defects, some typical and characteristic wear consistent with age and use. When lit they exude a warm and nice atmosphere, simply gorgeous.
