Art Deco Porcelain Table Lamp of Leda and the Swan by De Vegh for Lenox

About the Item

This lovely Art Deco Porcelain Table Lamp of Leda and the Swan by De Vegh for Lenox originates from the United States, Circa 1930. Features a rectangular polished brass base from which the urn form body of the lamp rises. The porcelain is of the highest quality and depicts a greek mythological scene of Leda and the Swan, a narrative motif utilized in fine art and narrative pieces for thousands of years. The forms and figures are beautifully depicted with star and floral shaped accents dancing in the negative space. A lovely piece with well balanced materials and timeless references, this lamp will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modernist and Contemporary Interiors. Newly rewired to American Standards, this piece is in Excellent Vintage Condition. Fitted with a new and custom shade.
