Commissioned Paavo Tynell Table Lamp, Taito Oy, 1950s
About the Item
An extremely rare commissioned lamp by Paavo Tynell. This lamp has features from several models yet has a unique perforated cone shape shade that is not found in any other standard models. A similar example can be found in a drawing from the Tynell archives from a private order by Architect Sirén in the early 1950s. (Picture included).
The shade a switch on it and plain brass stem and stand. The original white paint inside the shade has cracks and some minor craqualure that we decided to keep with a possiblity of repainting according ro customer preferences.
Electricity has been updated.
