Paavo Tynell Commissioned Table Lamp, Taito
About the Item
A very rare comissioned table lamp designed in the early 1950s for Taito Oy. This design has been used in a similar yet smaller table lamp in the iconic Vaakuna hotel that was exclusively designed by Tynell (the lighting). It has a metal base covered with leather, a two branched brass leg, a beautiful bast shade and three light switches (one for each light bulb) covered on top with a glass difuser. A piece of art and a must for any collector. The lamp is fully stamped at the bottom. TT Taito Made in Finland.
