Monumental English Regency Giltwood Convex Mirror, circa 1820
About the Item
A circa 1820 Regency gilt convex mirror of grand proportions and typically form.
Ebonised reeded slip, applied gilt spheres and surmounted by an eagle perched with its wings spread holding a ball and chain.
The bottom of the mirror is decorated with two entwined serpents, the original mirror plate is highly decorative with its oxidised, distressed ghostly appearance.
Measures: H 153cm (60.2"), W 91.5cm (36"), D 10cm (3.9").
