About the Item

We are delighted to this very rare circa 1800 gold gilt framed Girandole mirror with original lightly distressed mercury plate glass A very rare find, I have never seen another with a Putti on the top before. This mirror as you can see is designed to seat three candles, very decorative when set up the right way In terms of the condition its very distressed, the frame is extremely ornate and delicate, there are multiple small losses, there was no back panel protecting the plate glass so we have fitted a piece of plywood. This mirror is a rare survivor at 220+ years old, it has patina everywhere and looks every bit its age Dimensions: Height 109.5cm Width 60cm Depth 19cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point.
