Antique French Trumeau Mirror Completely All Original and Unrestored c1770-1790

About the Item

Trumeau Mirrors are a type of Mirror originally manufactured by the French in the late 1700’s and we would date this Antique Trumeau Mirror from that period of time. The word Trumeau is defined by the space between two windows, where a tall Trumeau could be installed or could hung above a fireplace mantel. Frequently they would have a decorative carved element or a painted scene. We have been offering Trumeau Mirrors for over 30-years and it is a rarity to find one that’s actually from the late 1700’s, that no one has tried to restore. This is about as nice an all-original, unrestored antique French Trumeau as one is about to find. **Please note part of a decoration is missing, image 3.
