We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely sublime English Victorian heavily carved wall mirror, circa 1880 This mirror is a tour de force of carving, the frame has three levels which in turn has different styles of carving depending on the placement. You have grape vines inside the boarder and then pears and pineapples on the outside, all carved in oak then plaster coated and gilt as was the method and fashion of the day The frame has normal age related patina marks as you would expect, it has some losses here and there, all consummate with genuine use and honest age Dimensions: Height 66.5cm Width 48cm Depth 5.5cm This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
