Vintage Danish Rosewood Queen Platform Bed by for Sannemanns

About the Item

The interior (mattress) width and length is 55.5" x 75". Please check your mattress dimensions to determine compatibility. This old growth rosewood exudes character. Rich, reddish-amber patina and fiery cathedral grain stand out within the sharp clean lines and minimalist modern style of this design. The classic, arched, "Danish Bow" on the headboard and footboard are accentuated with a solid edgeband of rosewood with contrasting tones that runs along the top edge. Simple, subtle and thoroughly thought out. The bed floats on four, sculpted, tapered rosewood legs that provide for a floating effect. The headboard and footboard are finished on all sides in rosewood, allowing for it to be free-standing in your room if you choose not to put it up against a wall. Vintage Danish rosewood queen / full size platform bed. This bed comes complete as pictured, with headboard, footboard, side-rails and slats. No need for a box spring, simply place your mattress atop the slats for support. The bed is easy to assemble, break-down and transport. The Furnish Me Vintage restoration team put many hours into beautifying this amazing platform bed. Detailed top to bottom. Only minor blemishes remain on the rosewood.

  • Raymond Loewy Inspired Green Chapter One Nightstand by Broyhill Premier
    By Raymond Loewy, Broyhill
    Located in Chattanooga, TN
Well it’s 2023, and Broyhill’s Chapter One Collection is officially harder to find and more sought after than the Raymond Loewy orginals. With all due respect to Raymond Loewy, there really is something magical about the Chapter One line. Maybe they’re just more fun and approachable. Maybe it’s the proportions and practicality. Regardless, they’re one of our favourite collections of all time. The restoration team pulled no punches on this nightstand, and the end result exceeded our expectations. Every inch of the wood body and base was professionally sanded, primed and painted to match the original bright white. The laminate top and dark lime green molded plastic drawer fronts were finally buffed and polished to a glassy shine. It’s tough to see these go, but we know it will be loved. Broyhill’s Chapter one collection borrowed from the plastic mold injection designs made famous by legendary designer Raymond Loewy. Like Loewy, this Chapter One Green Nightstand...

  • Pair of Post Modern White and Gun Metal Gray Chrome Nightstands by Lane
    By Raymond Loewy, Lane Furniture
    Located in Chattanooga, TN
Sleek pair of vintage 1980s Post Modern white nightstands by Lane. Stylish and hearty construction, hallmarks of Lane. These nightstands have white enamel painted wood cases and white laminate (Formica) top surfaces. As you can see, there is a slight patina to the white enamel paint. The body of the nightstands appears a slightly warmer ivory color while the laminate tops are pure white. This subtle patina is due to age. The Nineteen-Laties nightstands exhibit elements of Neo Deco...

Sun at six is a contemporary furniture design studio working with traditional Chinese joinery masters to handcraft our pieces using traditional joinery. Great furniture begins with quality materials: raw, sustainably sourced wood, our house-made finishes developed with years of testing, and full-grain, vegetable-tanned leathers that patina with age. We work to bring out the natural character already present in our materials. People matter to us. We source leather from with a family-owned tannery in Italy, and work with traditional Chinese joinery masters, who hand build each piece of furniture using fading, ancient joinery techniques. We finish with our own tenna oil, a natural oil we press and make from tree oils and nuts ourselves. We work hard to find quality, sustainably sourced hardwoods, which are air-dried, hand-sealed, and carefully kiln-dried according to our own recipes. In line with our commitment to sustainability, we’ve developed the Noura bed using...
