JINGASA from the EDO period, Samurai headdress Toppai Jingasa
About the Item
Authentic and original Jingasa from the Edo period, conical Samurai headdress, called a Toppai Jingasa in wood covered with black lacquer depicting two kamons lacquered in gold representing the “Hosokawa-shi” clan and also the “Ashikaga-shi” clan.
In very good condition for the age, some lacquer chips at the top and ends of the helmet. The interior with chin guard, called ago-himo.
