Arkitekten Arne Jacobsen-Johan Pedersen, 1954

About the Item

First edition, published by Arkitektens Forlag, København, 1954 Scarce, especially in its original dustjacket– this profusely illustrated monograph on the work of Arne Jacobsen by Johan Pedersen gives a concise, yet broad view of the architect’s work up until this point. From public buildings and interiors, to the family home and his move towards product design, fabrics and furniture. Published at a transformative point in the Jacobsen’s career, soon after the celebrated ‘Ant’ chair was released, but shortly before the iconic swan chair and Poulsen table lamp. The text is in Danish, with an English summary after the introduction.
