About the Item
Beautiful and rare early 20th century antique yellow gold Kerosang pin brooch for your Kebaya.
A Kebaya is an Indonesian blouse without buttons, this golden Kerosang has 4 simple pins with 'claw-like' settings around coral 'buttons'.
Usually kebaya pins have 3 pins and are more decorated elaborately in Indonesian style.
This one has a more sleek 'Dutch Zealandish' design, that is why I'm pretty sure this antique costume jewellery pin was probably made for and worn by a Dutch lady living in Indonesia, around circa 1900.
Full length of all pins on chain is 24cm (9.5 inch)
Now this timeless designed brooch would look great on a shawl, a headscarf, a hat or on a blouse that needs a special something.
