Early 20th Century French Louis XIV Carved Walnut Bombe Miniature Commode Chest

About the Item

Decorate a master bathroom counter with this miniature chest of drawers. Crafted in France, circa 1920, the petite fruitwood "Commode de Maitrise" (or masterwork created by a cabinetmaker's apprentice to prove mastery of his craft at the end of his apprenticeship), sits on four bun feet; the chest features three bombe drawers across the front decorated with intricate handles. The small antique cabinet is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina. This model decorative chest could be used to hold your valuables on a vanity, or placed on a shelf for decoration. Measures: 13.5" W x 6.75" D x 8" H.
