19th Century Hand-Painted Folk Art Spanish Tambourine with Artist's Signature

About the Item

A painted rustic city scene framed by a branch of exquisite pink flowers adorns this small Spanish tambourine. Skillfully painted with an illegible artist's signature at lower right, this is an exceptional example of this traditional art form. The tambourine is in fine shape, though there is a small puncture in the surface of the head which does not interfere with the image.
