About the Item
Good size, partially gilt and great looking Gothic Revival bracket for displaying a Saint statue.
This Gothic console for wall mounting dates from the late 1800s and it has a marvelous combination of Gothic elements that make it a joy to own, to use and to look at. A great element is the group of perfectly and stylishly hand carved Gothic leaves at the bottom. Just like the other Gothic elements in this striking wall bracket they are partially gilt so that their beautiful design gets accentuated even more. This rare church relic was once the base for a large size and undoubtedly marvelous Saint statue. Apart from a few minor imperfections this Gothic antique of almost one hundred and fifty years old could not be in better condition. So if you have a beautiful Saint sculpture or another work of religious art that deserves to be displayed in the best possible manner then maybe you should be the next custodian of this antique and very strong European work of beauty.
