1870 Antique Burnished Brass W F Stanley Level Surveyor Measurement Instrument

About the Item

Topographic level signed W.F Stanley of burnished brass, from the second half of the 19th century. In excellent condition and complete with original mahogany box with brass hinges and closing hooks. The instrument consists of a telescope, two orthogonal levels, a compass complete with a goniometric circle with the function of a horizontal circle and base for attachment to the Stand with four adjustment screws. Inside the lid of the mahogany box there are two labels: one yellow with the name and address of the manufacturer, the other, also by Stanley, has the date 3.3.1911 of a repair. Box size 45 x 14.3 x 13 cm, 17.7 x 5.6 x 5.11 inches, level length 32 cm, 12.59 inches, height with base 16.5 cm, 6.49 inches.
