Chinoiserie Faux Bamboo Pagoda Standing Bird Cage
About the Item
Fantastic faux bamboo pagoda birdcage made in the chinoiserie revival taste of the early 20th century Europe. Constructed from wrought iron featuring a decorative faux bamboo motif and topped with an octagonal Chinese pagoda style roof. The roof has whimsical metal stars hanging from the edges and the cage is supported by a faux bamboo stand with a cross stretcher and splayed legs. Topped with a ball finial. The cage has a door with a lock and a slide out metal pan floor for cleaning. The beautiful lacquer has a lovely craquelure finish patina.
