Early 20th Century French Painted Iron and Wire Aviary Birdcage on Wheels

About the Item

Add color and whimsical charm to your kitchen or breakfast room with this large antique aviary bird cage. Crafted in France circa 1920 and built in two pieces (base and house), the six foot free standing bird house stands on four intricate iron scroll legs connected with a double circular stretcher, and ending with caster wheels. The wired bird habitat has a rectangular body and is dressed with a pagoda shaped top; it opens with a front door, revealing a large inside space. The bottom is dressed with a large pull up cleaning tray with center knob. The tall Art Deco cage is excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated white painted finish. Measures: 30"W x 17"D x 70.5"H.
