Œuvres Sensibles
Sarah Espeute is an artist and designer born in Arles, Provence. After studying Applied Arts in visual communication in Paris, she diverged from conventional paths to pursue a more personal and creative journey. As a self-taught individual, Sarah founded an alternative printing house specializing in Riso and created a publishing house in her Parisian apartment. Sarah's passion for 2D creations evolved into imagining 3D objects when she moved to Marseille. She delved into painting and embroidery, skills acquired during workshops in her childhood in Provence. She embroidered bouquet cushions and curtains with climbing roses for her first apartment, marking the inception of trompe-l'œil objects. This journey led to the creation of "Œuvres sensibles," officially launched in early 2021. Œuvres sensibles is not just a brand; it embodies Sarah's artistic sensitivity. Her poetic and minimalist embroidery work reflects the intersection between everyday objects and the desire to convey the grace that encapsulates an emotion. Objects become more than their function; they narrate stories, representing moments, fragrances, and memories. Sarah values timelessness and transmission in her conception of interior objects. Antique fabrics, with their robust and raw touch immortalize lived experiences, fostering imagination and awakening sensations. Working with antique fabrics aligns with Sarah's eco-conscious lifestyle, aiming to curb overconsumption.
