Antique Scandinavian Round Storage Box “Tejne” Decorated Pine, Late 19th Century
About the Item
Large Antique Scandinavian storage box made from wood, made in the last half of 1800. It's most likely from Sweden or Denmark.
It's a so called "Tejne" made for storing and transport of food and other things.
The lid is attached to the box with a special locking mechanism so you can use the handle for transport.
The box is most likely made from pine wood which has a beautiful warm patina and decorated with impressed patterns.
The box is very well preserved considering its age and can be used for storing lots of things such as your knitting project.
