Rare and stunning 1950s umbrella & stick Stand.
If you are decorating a Mid-Century Modern (or an Art Deco) interior then you could not wish for a more rare, stylish and vibrant hallway antique. The rarity is simply explained by saying that we have never seen a fully enameled midcentury umbrella Stand with a decor that must have been inspired by the work of Piet Mondriaan (Amersfoort, 7 maart 1872 - New York, 1 February 1944). Anyone who knows his world-famous paintings will immediately recognize the wonderful color combination of, and some of the geometrical patterns in this marvelous Stand. We have searched the worldwide web and there is not another one to be found anywhere in the world. Piet Mondriaan's unique style made his work ground breaking and the designer of this very rare Stand must have recognized that. The vibrant colors in this design give it a timeless freshness and 'modern look' that will never fail to impress.
