Original Blue Painted Antique Swedish Trunk, Hidden Compartment

Original Blue Painted Antique Swedish Trunk, Dated 1832. This wonderful trunk is a perfect example of Swedish country craftsmanship,including the lovely original blue paint,floral details, the "BND" monogram, and hand-wrought iron straps and handles. This trunk also contains a "secret storage compartment." While most trunks of the period had a small interior storage/drawer, in this one you can remove the horizontal slats, revealing an extra storage area below that remains out of sight to the casual observer.
